Hillary Clinton declined to comment Thursday on whether she would ask FBI Director James Comey to resign if she is elected president, saying she did not want to “get ahead of myself.”
“Here’s the $10,000 question,” Clinton was asked by radio host Joe Madison. “Will you ask the FBI director to resign if you’re elected president?”

Clinton demurred. “I’m not going to … get ahead of myself by assuming I’ll be fortunate enough to be elected. That’s really up to you and your listeners. People have to turn out or nothing that I’m going to be proposing will come into reality.
“But I also would never comment on any kind of personnel issue,” she added.
Comey announced on Friday that his bureau had reopened an investigation into Clinton’s mishandling of classified information as secretary of state. The bureau is reportedly also pursuing an investigation into allegations of public corruption at the philanthropic Clinton Foundation.
