Democratic PAC demands campaign contribution refund after Jeff Van Drew switches parties

The House Democrats’ political action committee is requesting that New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew return the campaign contribution they made to him, following his departure from the party.

Van Drew, 66, a first-term congressman, joined the Republican Party on Thursday afternoon while speaking to President Trump in the White House. He pledged his “undying support” to the president, and, only hours later, the House Majority PAC called for their money back.
