Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he has talked to Mitt Romney about a possible run for the U.S. Senate in 2018, but that he will back incumbent Republican Orrin Hatch if he decides to run again.

“I’ve had some conversations with Mitt Romney,” McConnell, R-Ky., said Friday. “Obviously, I’m an Orrin Hatch supporter. Orrin Hatch has to decide what he wants to do. If he wants to run again, I’m for him.”
