Germany arrests suspected jihadist back from Syria

BERLIN (AP) — Authorities in Germany have arrested a 40-year-old man suspected of having trained and fought for an extremist group in Syria’s civil war.

A spokesman for Berlin prosecutors says police in the German capital swooped on the man Friday after sufficient evidence emerged to warrant his arrest.
