WATCH: Joy Behar cut off by co-hosts after suggesting Trump be charged with ‘hate speech’

The View host Joy Behar openly mused why the American Civil Liberties Union does not sue President Trump for hate speech or why the president should not be charged before her co-hosts cut her off during Thursday’s episode.

“Why can’t he be brought up on charges of hate speech? Why can’t he be sued by the ACLU for hate speech? I don’t get it. How does he get away with this?” Behar said about Trump’s criticism of Ilhan Omar before her co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain cut her off.

Behar’s comments come after Trump held a rally Wednesday in Greenville, North Carolina where the crowd chanted “send her back” in regards to Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar.

The president said Thursday he is “not happy” about the chant.

The chant followed Trump telling Omar and her fellow liberal congresswomen to “go back” home.
