LOMA LINDA, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California medical center plans to expand with the help of a donation of $100 million from a Riverside couple.
Loma Linda University Health System said Wednesday that the donation will help fund the construction of a new adult hospital and the addition of a wing to its children’s hospital.
President Richard Hart says the donation will fund technological and design upgrades to the 47-year-old medical center and that the upgrades are part of its $1.2 billion Vision 2020 campaign.
Hart says the money from Dennis and Carol Troesh (Tr-oh-sh) is the largest medical donation ever in Inland Southern California.
Dennis Troesh is the founder of Robertson’s Ready Mix, one of the leading producers of concrete in Southern California.
