SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Four Onondaga County sheriff’s deputies have been charged with falsifying pay vouchers and getting paid for hours they didn’t work.
County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said in a news release that the four were arraigned in city court Thursday afternoon.
The amount of pay involved ranged from $345 to $1,732.
Fitzpatrick said the deputies were paid to provide security on Centro buses to Destiny USA, but an investigation determined they did not do the work.
A Centro official reported the alleged scam to the district attorney’s office.
