Thanks to a man’s quick thinking and being in the right place at the right time, a 5-year-old boy in Louisiana was saved from being an alligator’s snack on Saturday.

Daniel Duplantier was watching alligators near a canal in Westwego, Louisiana, when he heard the boy call for help and pulled him from the waters, Westwego Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 wrote on its Facebook page.
