RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) — The U.S. Forest Service has announced that about $7.7 million in federal funding has been made available to repair road and trail damage from Tropical Storm Irene in the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont.

The funding will be used to restore watersheds and re-build roads, culverts, bridges and trails that were severely damaged by the storm last August.
