A 26-year-old Rockville man was killed in a single vehicle crash in Rockville early Saturday.
At about 4:15 a.m., a Montcomery County police officer found the wreck of a 2006 Hyundai Sonata near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Twinbrook Parkway. Police said the car drove off the road and struck a tree and road sign.
The front seat passenger, Nashon O. Barnett, of the 300 block of Cedar Lane, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver, also was taken to a local hospital, was expected to live, police said.
