President Trump said Saturday that he still believes he could cut a deal with North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un.
“Anything in this very interesting world is possible, but I believe that Kim Jong Un fully realizes the great economic potential of North Korea, & will do nothing to interfere or end it. He also knows that I am with him & does not want to break his promise to me. Deal will happen!” Trump said on Twitter.

Trump’s assertion comes the day after North Korea tested a short-range missile.
The president’s attempts to negotiate with the rogue state have soured recently with Trump abruptly leaving a February nuclear summit in Vietnam after Kim wanted sanctions relief in exchange for only shutting down one nuclear site.
Kim Jong Un said last month the United States was negotiating in “bad faith.”
Trump’s national security adviser John Bolton said Sunday that Washington will continue its negotiations with North Korea through a one-on-one basis.
“I think Kim Jong Un, at least up until now, has wanted the one-on-one contact with the United States, which is what he has gotten,” Bolton said, rejecting multilateral talks involving other nations.
