Ecuador president backs indefinite re-election

QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa says he’s backing a constitutional amendment that would allow him to run for re-election indefinitely.

The leftist leader’s party controls congress so passage is almost assured.
