The crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border is sapping support from the Biden administration over the issue, polls show, making Democrats increasingly vulnerable in the 2022 midterm elections.

Forty-four percent of people approve of the job President Joe Biden is doing on border security. But 55% say they disapprove, according to an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs poll released in early April.
