Man accused of stealing plants from shrine

BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) — A Belleville man is jailed after being accused of stealing dozens of landscaping plants from a southwestern Illinois shrine.

St. Clair County prosecutors on Tuesday charged 52-year-old Devance Jordan with felony theft from a place of worship. He remained jailed Wednesday on $25,000 bond.
