White House says president has tested negative for coronavirus multiple times

The president has tested negative for COVID-19 multiple times, according to his physician.

Dr. Sean Conley provided an update Monday in a statement released by White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

“I can share with you that he has tested NEGATIVE, on consecutive days, using the Abbott BinaxNOW antigen card,” he said. “Repeatedly negative antigen tests, taken in context with additional clinical and laboratory data, including viral load, subgenomic RNA, and PCR cycle threshold measurements, as well as ongoing assessment of viral culture data, all indicate a lack of detectable viral replication.”

The doctor concluded that the president’s medical team has assessed that President Trump “is not infectious to others.”

Trump is set to hold a rally on Monday night in Florida.
