Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., is recovering from a successful surgical procedure on Friday after being diagnosed with high-risk prostate cancer, according to his family.
Preliminary tests indicate the cancer was fully removed with his prostate during the operation at Birmingham’s Urology Centers of Alabama, per a statement from Brooks’ office, but he and his family are still waiting for a formal pathology report.
