Drilling appeal ends; decision up to MDA chief

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Opponents of offshore drilling in Mississippi Sound say state officials didn’t do enough to consult with others or properly consider all possible economic impacts, such as whether drilling would hurt tourism.
