WATCH: Woman sneaks in and dances inside lion enclosure at Bronx Zoo

A woman was filmed entering the African lion exhibit at the Bronx Zoo in New York City over the weekend, approaching a male lion and seemingly taunting him by dancing.

The lion appears surprised but never attacks the woman as she continues her dance, waving her hands around and moving closer to the large predatory feline.

No injuries were reported following the incident, but the zoo condemned the woman’s behavior as seriously dangerous. “This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death,” the Bronx Zoo said in a statement. “Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers.”

The woman has not yet been publicly identified, and it is unknown whether she faces charges related to the breach of the animal enclosure.
