UPDATE, 3:26 p.m.: Police identified the suspect as 56-year-old Stephen Salb and the victim as Jill Salb. Stephen Salb is charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
ORIGINAL POST: A Maryland man was arrested early Wednesday for allegedly killing his wife in a domestic dispute.
Anne Arundel County police said officers responded to a report of a domestic assault on the 7700 block of Jones Drive in Pasadena at about 5 a.m. and found a 38-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.
The woman was pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour later. Her husband was at the home and was arrested in the slaying, police said. The motive in the attack wasn’t immediately clear.
Their names have not been released. Police said charges are pending against the husband.
The woman’s 20-year-old daughter tried to intervene in the assault and was also injured, police said. She was treated for wounds that were not life-threatening, police said.
