CAMERON, Texas (AP) — One inmate has been killed and several others are among six people hurt in a Central Texas collision between a car and a van hauling prisoners.
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice on Tuesday identified the female inmate who died as 53-year-old Ellaree Mathews. She was serving less than a year for a conviction out of Angelina County in East Texas.
