WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: MLK Housing made substantial profit through a $2.3 million subsidiary for land it purchased for $1.1 million. Among other crimes, MLK also sent the same bill for site cleanup to both state and federal grant programs, collecting $142,000 from duplicate payments.
