The winning ticket for Friday’s Mega Millions $107-million jackpot was sold in Herndon, according to lottery officials.
The Virginia Lottery said in a statement that someone bought a ticket that matched all six numbers and the Mega Ball at the Giant Food located at 1228 Elden Street.
No one has claimed the ticket yet. This is the seventh time a winner in the multi-state lottery has purchased a ticket in Virginia, lottery officials said.
The winner can get the full jackpot through 26 annual payments or take a lump-sum payment of $68.1 million.
The store that sold the ticket will get $50,000.
