PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A Pakistani border official says a key crossing to Afghanistan in the country’s northwest has been reopened for NATO supplies after being closed for nearly two weeks due to a militant attack.
Bakhtiar Khan said the Torkham border point was reopened Saturday with enhanced security arrangements including additional checkpoints and extensive patrolling along the historic Khyber Pass that connects the border with Pakistan’s main northwestern city of Peshawar.
