Donald Trump, who is famous for not sleeping much, wants his supporters to stay awake as well.
As Trump’s private jet landed in Cleveland nearby on Wednesday, the third day of the Republican National Convention, loudspeakers at the Great Lakes Science Center where his rally was set to take place blared Pavarotti singing Puccini’s famous aria [song] “Nessum Dorma,” translated “None Shall Sleep,” from the last act of the opera “Turandot.”

As the plane passes the crowd, Pavarotti singing the words “Tramontate, stelle! Tramontate, stelle!” could be heard from the aria’s third part, in which the lead, Calaf (known as the unknown prince, becomes certain of victory over his love, Princess Turandot. Turandot, who is disgusted with the thought of marriage, must guess his name before morning, or be forced to marry him. If she guesses correctly, Calaf is to be beheaded. The translation “Set, stars! Set, stars!,” passionately calling for the night to end and certain victory over the princess to be obtained.
Trump then took a helicopter to the rally, and after an additional three fly-bys, landed at the event where he introduced his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.
