Montgomery County police are asking the public to help identify a suspect in an armed robbery of a dollar store in Gaithersburg.
At about 10:30 a.m., Jan. 29, a man walked into the Dollar Deal Plus at 18238 Flower Hill Road in Gaithersburg and pulled a gun on the clerk.
The man demanded money from the register, but the clerk was unable to get the register open. The suspect grabbed the clerk’s personal property and began to leave the store. The clerk followed the suspect but was assaulted. The clerk suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-10, about 140 pounds with long black hair, a mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a red plaid bandana on his head, gray sweatshirt, dark blue pajama-style pants with small white designs and sunglasses.
