NEW YORK (AP) — Two police officers have been convicted of misdemeanor attempted assault in connection with a February 2011 incident in a Bronx alley.

Prosecutors say surveillance videos showed the officers, Jose Ocasio and Joseph Murphy, punching and kicking a teenager and then walking away.

The judge also convicted them of second-degree harassment, a violation.

The Bronx DA’s office says it will seek probation at the officers’ Oct. 28 sentencing.

The NYPD will consider departmental charges.
