John Lewis will not attend Trump’s first State of the Union address

Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., revealed on Friday that he does not plan to attend President Trump’s first State of the Union address at the end of the month.

“I cannot in all the conscience be in a room with what he has said about so many Americans,” Lewis told MSNBC host Katy Tur when explaining why he will not attend. “I just cannot do it. I wouldn’t be honest with myself.”
