Shootings across D.C. mar Halloween festivities

Police said at least six people were shot in attacks across the city on Halloween night.

One shooting happened around 11 p.m. in Georgetown,  the heart of Halloween revelry. Authorities said a juvenile was shot in the head in the 2800 block M Street NW. He was hospitalized in critical condition.

Police say a juvenile also was also shot on M Street in Northeast about 8:30 p.m. The bullet apparently grazed the boy’s head.

Later officers responded to the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Decatur Street in Northwest Washington for a double shooting. Police say a boy was shot in the knee and a woman was shot in the thigh.

Later, a woman was shot in the ankle on Crittenden Street in Northwest. A man also was shot in the foot in the 1300 bock of Southern Avenue in Southeast.
