WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is slapping terrorism sanctions on a Sudanese man convicted of killing a U.S. diplomat in Sudan five years ago.
The State Department and Treasury announced Wednesday that Mohamed Hamza has been placed on a blacklist of global terrorists. The designation freezes any assets he may have in U.S. jurisdictions and bars Americans from sending him money or doing business with him.
