Woman dead, dog missing after crash with Winnebago

Police have identified the elderly woman who was killed in a crash in Prince William County, and authorities are looking for the dog that was with her.

The driver has been identified as 72-year-old Charlotte Brown Perry of Midland, Va. Prince William County police said around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Perry was driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan on the James Madison Highway in Haymarket and attemped to pass a vehicle.

The Caravan crossed over the double yellow line and into the path of a oncoming Winnebago recreation vehicle, police said. Perry was pronounced dead on the scene. A 79-year-old passanger  of the Caravan was flown by helicopter to an area hospital. The two occupents of the Winnebago were not injuried.

Police said a white Great Pyrenees was in a cage inside the Caravan, and went missing. Anybody with information can call police at (703) 792-6500.
