A 61-year-old Gaithersburg man died after the car he was driving went off the road and struck several trees near Derwood, police said.
Stanford Wilson, Jr., was driving his 2003 BMW westbound on Shady Grove Road at about 12:20 p.m. on Friday and for an unknown reason left the roadway between Muncaster Mill Road and Mill Run Drive. His car struck several trees and a fence.
