Politico is asking members of the White House Correspondents’ Association, made up of reporters who cover the White House, whether President Trump has affected any of their decisions about attending this year’s annual Christmas party.
The survey, obtained Tuesday by the Washington Examiner, asks five questions, including, “If you have children, will you bring them as guests? (Have you in the past? If any change, why?)” and, “Do you plan to have your or your children’s picture taken with the president? (Have you in the past? If any change, why?)”
Invitations to the party were sent out to reporters on Nov. 9. It’s planned for Dec. 1 and usually serves as a social gathering for high-profile government officials and journalists. The president typically poses for photos with guests.
The Politico survey also asked if potential guests “like or dislike that the event has been changed from a ‘holiday party’ to a ‘Christmas party’?”
The invite for the party actually referred to the party as a “Holiday Reception.”
The survey does not indicate how the responses will be used.
