Trump administration requests emergency stay on order blocking Portland National Guard deployment

The Trump administration has requested that an appeals court immediately halt a ruling blocking it from deploying the National Guard to Portland to quell violence in the city.

A U.S. district judge dealt President Donald Trump a legal setback on Saturday night, when she issued a two-week restraining order blocking his earlier activation of 300 troops to Oregon amid anti-ICE protests.
