Seth Moulton jabs RNC for sending him improperly folded American flag

Iraq War veteran Seth Moulton mocked the Republican National Committee over social media after it sent him an improperly folded American flag.

The 40-year-old Massachusetts congressman, who is also running for the Democratic presidential nomination, shared a photo of the flag and a letter he received from RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. The letter comes after protesters burned an American flag outside the White House on the Fourth of July.

“In recent weeks it has become increasingly clear that the proper respect and handling for the United States flag is an issue for the Democratic Party,” McDaniel’s wrote. “The American flag is a powerful symbol of freedom and independence that many have died to protect. It deserves to be treated as such.”

Moulton shot back with a tweet, writing, “Hey, @GOP thank you for mailing me the flag and a copy of the flag code. Next time, show some respect and fold it properly.”

The proper way to store or send a flag is by folding it horizontally and then triangularly until it ends as a triangle with just the upper left blue portion containing the white stars viable.
