LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say both sides of the U.S. 101 freeway near Hollywood were shut down as a crash led to the discovery of a suspicious device.

The California Highway Patrol says the device was discovered during the investigation of the fiery two-car accident on the 101 shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

A police bomb squad cleared the scene on the 101 near Universal Studios and all lanes were reopened about two hours after the crash.

It’s not clear whether anyone was injured in the accident.
