Video shows Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green throwing a punch at his teammate’s face at a recent practice.
In the dramatic leaked footage of the encounter, Green was seen swinging at teammate Jordan Poole after being shoved during a heated exchange. Tensions have been simmering among the Warriors amid changes in Poole’s behavior as speculation brews that he may get a contract extension, according to a Yahoo Sports reporter.

“These things happen. Nobody likes it. We don’t condone it, but it happens,” general manager Bob Myers said, per ESPN. “Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room. … As far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally.”
News of the encounter leaked earlier this week, but the footage, which contained no audio, was published by TMZ on Friday. In the video, Green is seen moving over to Poole, getting real close to him, before Poole pushes him. Green then punches him.
Bystanders then intervened and broke up the confrontation.

The team has initiated an investigation into how TMZ obtained the shocking footage. Typically, people who attend an NBA practice are there on the team’s invitation, per the Washington Post.
“Obviously, they’re not happy that that video got out of their practice facility, and they’re trying to figure out where it came from and how it got out,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
Green was apologetic after the altercation and is not expected to miss any games as the team mulls a punishment, Myers explained. Poole was reportedly seen at practice the day after the confrontation.

Both Green and Poole played on the team during its journey to the NBA championship last year.
