About 100 people were arrested overnight in Minneapolis and another 100 were arrested in Baton Rouge as nationwide protests continued overnight and into early Sunday in cities around the nation over the recent police shootings of two black men.

Some 20 police officers were also injured in the pandemonium in Minneapolis as rioters closed down a major interstate highway that connects the city with St. Paul and pelted officers with rocks, bottles, fireworks, and bricks, according to reports.
