Greg Gutfeld: Trump ‘better than Gandhi’ on international peace deals

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld praised President Trump in his initiatives toward international relations, comparing him to one of the most famous figures of world peace, Mahatma Gandhi.

On Friday’s edition of Fox’s The Five, Gutfeld said Trump’s success in international deals will be a tough challenge for his Democratic opponent Joe Biden in the fall.

“It’s tough for Joe because his opponent has now been nominated twice for a Nobel Peace Prize,” Gutfeld said. “First for Israel-UAE, and then, Kosovo-Serbia, What’s next? Bahrain? I mean, Trump is handing out peace plans like pancakes at a firehouse breakfast. Who knew? Who knew the evil, orange Godzilla is better than Gandhi?”

Trump was nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize on Wednesday by a member of the Norwegian Parliament for his role in brokering the recent peace negotiations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

The deal between Israel and the UAE established diplomatic relations that come after years of buildup between the two states wary of threats posed by Iran.

Trump was previously nominated for the prize in 2018 for his peace talks with Kim Jong Un, but he did not win. The results of his current nomination won’t be announced until October 2021.
