NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a pedestrian has been killed in a hit-and-run accident in Queens.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. Monday on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood.
Police arrived at the scene and found a 32-year-old man lying on the roadway. He as unconscious and unresponsive.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses said a dark sedan struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
