The move will allow Six Flags to incorporate material related to Clark Productions-owned shows into its theme parks, spokeswoman Wendy Goldberg said Tuesday.
“When you look at the broadcast assets of Dick Clark Productions, like ‘American Bandstand,’ you see these are family brands,” Goldberg said.
Possibilities for Six Flags would include holding “So You Think You Can Dance” events at the theme parks, using “American Bandstand” archived footage in the parks and holding branded concerts, Goldberg said.
Six Flags already incorporates various brands into its parks, such as Loony Tunes, Thomas the Train, the Wiggles and the Justice League. It recently opened a show in Chicago called “Operation Spy Girl,” created by one of the producers of the television show “24,” Goldberg said.
