RFK Jr. gets his name on two more state ballots ahead of November election

A political action committee supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has helped him gain access to two critical battleground states ahead of the 2024 presidential election

The American Values 24 PAC confirmed in a news release Tuesday that Kennedy’s name will appear on the Arizona and Georgia ballots.

“The grassroots energy and momentum give us more confidence than ever in our ability to knock out the remaining states on our list of states quickly,” Tony Lyons, co-founder of the PAC, said in the statement.

The states Kennedy remains focused on are Michigan, another key battleground state, Maryland, South Carolina, West Virginia, Indiana, Texas, Illinois, New York, California, and Massachusetts, Lyons told Just the News

Kennedy first secured his name on the ballot in Utah, followed by New Hampshire and Hawaii.

The Democratic National Committee filed an FEC complaint earlier this month claiming that Kennedy’s campaign and the PAC were illegally colluding to carry out a “ballot access scheme.” The lawsuit comes amid the DNC’s concerns that if Kennedy’s name appears on state ballots, it will siphon votes away from Biden and help former President Donald Trump win.

In 2020, President Joe Biden beat Trump in Arizona and Georgia by roughly 0.3% margins. Though Kennedy has not been favored to come out on top of the 2024 election, getting his name on crucial swing state ballots could shake up the race between Trump and Biden.

Trump does well in polls against Biden when Kennedy is thrown into the mix, according to a RealClearPolitics polling average, showing Trump at 39.8% and Biden at 35.5% when Kennedy’s name is included, with Kennedy himself at 15%.
