Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha slammed late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel for saying Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt should stick to being “the screaming jerk on reality shows.”
“Mayor should not be your first job,” Kimmel said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday.

“You watch these monologues and you don’t laugh,” Concha said on Fox News’s Fox & Friends First Friday.
Pratt is running against current city Mayor Karen Bass and city council member Nithya Raman to become the next Los Angeles mayor.
Pratt’s campaign for mayor has grown immensely over the past few weeks. His artificial intelligence-generated ads blend pop culture, sarcasm, and the conditions people in the city are facing.
He even captured the attention of President Donald Trump, who said, “I’d like to see him do well.”
Turning Point CEO Erika Kirk also commented on Pratt’s campaign, calling him “authentically American.”
Podcaster Joe Rogan said Pratt’s ideas “are good,” and comedian Tom Segura said he thinks Pratt “has a chance.”
Kimmel argued that the city’s $14 billion budget is not something Pratt should be in charge of.
Concha criticized Kimmel for living in a gated community, calling Kimmel an “elitist” who saw homes damaged or burned down in the deadly Pacific Palisades neighborhood fires.
Concha emphasized the “simple issues” Pratt is running on, including rebuilding homes from the Palisades fires. Pratt lost his home in the fires and has consistently criticized Bass’s handling of the disaster.
Kimmel being so “anti-anyone who doesn’t have a ‘D’ next to their name shows he has no courage or moral compass,” Concha said.
Concha also highlighted Pratt’s commitment to addressing homelessness and the drug crisis in Los Angeles, as well as addressing fraud and abuse.
Kimmel “doesn’t feel all these problems because of all the millions that Disney pays him to be shielded from that,” Concha said.
