Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt said he’s focusing on laws that already exist to make “the streets safe.”
“We are going to make sure that moms feel safe in Los Angeles,” Pratt said on Fox News’s Saturday in America.

Pratt said current city Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) made up statistics, calling it a “homeless industrial complex scam,” and accused them of laundering money to increase homelessness.
“Anybody with eyeballs in the state of California, or Los Angeles, knows that there has not been a reduction in one homeless person,” Pratt said.
“Actually, there’s been an increase of naked, drug addict zombies.”
Pratt is facing Bass and city council member Nithya Raman, who are both Democrats, in the primary election.
Pratt’s campaign for mayor has grown immensely over the past few weeks. His AI-generated ads blend pop culture and sarcasm with conditions that people in the city are facing.

In one video, Pratt is portrayed as Batman, protecting the city from the Joker, who is portrayed as Bass.
Bass commented on the ad, calling it “violent.”
In another AI video, Pratt highlighted a “pratt summer.” He emphasized key problems in the city, and then showcased young people at a festival with branding pulled from Charli XCX’s viral brat album.
While not made with AI, Pratt created another video channeling The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, writing his own lyrics to the show’s iconic theme song to embrace criticisms of his living situation.
He captured the attention of President Donald Trump, who said, “I’d like to see him do well.”
Turning Point CEO Erika Kirk also commented on Pratt’s campaign, calling him “authentically American.”
Podcaster Joe Rogan said Pratt’s ideas “are good,” and comedian Tom Segura said that he thinks Pratt “has a chance.”
Pratt has consistently called out Bass over her handling of drug use and homelessness in the city.
Host Kayleigh McEnany quoted a CNN interview with Bass on May 20. CNN’s Elex Michaelson asked Bass why she hadn’t eliminated street homelessness, since she said she vowed to end it. Her response was that she faced internal pushback on the issue.

“I found something that surprised me. I found a lot of people who work internal in this system who were very resistant to ending street homelessness,” Bass said
Pratt responded to the interview, saying, “She’s complicit; these are her associates.”
Pratt has also been vocal about his passion for helping animals in Los Angeles. In one campaign ad, he highlighted the failures of no-kill shelters.
He told McEnany about animal abuse in the city and the dogs that live on Skid Row.
“It’s so disgusting that even testing your drugs on a dog is the least of the worst of what these demons are doing to these poor animals. They’re lighting them on fire, they’re raping these dogs, they’re abusing them, they’re breeding them to the point that they die because they’ve been so over-bred,” Pratt said.
He also said the city shelter system is underfunded and doesn’t have the right people in place to run it.
He vowed full accountability and transparency for tax dollars, saying that the statistics should be easy to read and understand.
“We need to know where all of our tax money is going, and not confusing dashboards on ‘.gov’ where you need to be an accountant and a forensic investigator to even know what they’re saying,” Pratt said.
“These need to be very easy to read. High school kids should be able to log on and know where their parents’ money is going.”
Pratt said his overarching message of safety is going to make him mayor.
“Moms are getting me elected,” Pratt said.
“Nobody’s safe in L.A., really, unless you’re the drug dealer.”
Pratt emphasized stopping illegal activities in the city by enforcing laws.

“I’m stopping this because it’s illegal, all these things are illegal. I’m just going to be the mayor that comes in and says, ‘Hey, everybody, the law is back. The laws that all exist, these incredible laws that our incredible Democrats voted for, I’m going to enforce them for everybody as mayor,’” Pratt said.
He said he will work with the chief of the Los Angeles Police Department and officers to make sure laws are being followed, and hinted at replacing them if they don’t comply.
Pratt also touched on his relationship with God and said his fight for Los Angeles stems from his faith.
“God, if you want me to save these animals, save these humans and protect my city, just keep putting me in the place where I can do that,” Pratt said.
He highlighted his wife, Heidi Montag’s faith, and her support putting him on God’s path.
“I married an angel who is very connected to Jesus and has brought me to the light. You know, I was always not so bright in the light on the Lord’s path,” Pratt said.

He said his faith helped him “destroy” his opponents during the televised mayoral debate.
“I’ve never argued with two lying demons, live on TV,” Pratt said.
He said no matter the outcome of the mayoral race, he knows it’s part of God’s plan, but that “It seems like God has me going all the way.”
The interview concluded with a light-hearted sports question. McEnany said New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani got the New York Knicks to the NBA finals in his first year as mayor, and asked if Pratt could do the same for Los Angeles.
“The championship for me as mayor is making the streets safe. That’s all the medals the city needs right now. That’s great with sports, but right now people are dying on the sidewalk, moms aren’t feeling safe,” Pratt said.

“Sports are cool, but I am so about making the city safe that the championship will be moms getting to go back to the park.”
The primary election will be held on June 2.
