Democrats ‘need a plan’ different from 2024 to win 2026: Joe Concha

Washington Examiner senior writer Joe Concha said the Democratic Party may be “doomed to repeat” its losses in 2026 if a recent report indicates the status of the party ahead of the midterm elections.

Political pollster Nate Silver said in a recent interview with Semafor that he is somewhat surprised that some Democrats are unwilling to acknowledge “they f***ed up” in 2024, suggesting some data claim the problem with the presidential election was that Democrats did not fight hard enough for progressive ideas. However, he noted that President Donald Trump is “super unpopular,” so taking the same approach the party took in 2024 could eventually work.
