Virginia Democrats made a hasty appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday to overturn the Virginia Supreme Court’s ruling to strike down the redistricting referendum but were mocked for numerous spelling mistakes that appeared in court documents.

“First, if you are going to appeal to SCOTUS maybe don’t misspell Virginia????” former Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares wrote on X.
