Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters said he believes Republicans will defy historical trends and maintain their congressional majorities in the 2026 midterm elections.
“Bet on us because we’re going to win. We’re going to defy history,” Gruters said during a Monday interview on Fox News, expressing confidence that Republicans will retain control of the Senate and House despite a political environment that has historically favored the party out of power.
