Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) is scheduled to speak to California union workers at 3:45 p.m. EDT at his first solo campaign event since Vice President Kamala Harris tapped him to be her running mate.
Walz is scheduled to address the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees convention in Los Angeles. The AFSCME boasts 1.6 million members and swiftly endorsed Harris as a “dynamic leader who has been a pro-worker champion” the day after President Joe Biden made his historic campaign exit.
