Montgomery County police are investigating two Silver Spring burglaries and they are asking the public to help identify the suspects. Police said the suspects hit a home in the 9500 block of McAlpine Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. Monday, then burglarized another home in the 10000 block of Burnett Avenue 15 minutes later. In both cases the suspect knocked on the door before kicking it open. A green SUV was used in the thefts, police said.
The suspect who entered the homes was described as a black male, 5-feet-9, 160 pounds, about 25 years old with a mustache and goatee.

Home surveillance video of one of the thefts is available on “YouTube” by searching “mcpdmedia,” and “Silver Spring burglar approaches home” or “Silver Spring burglar enters home.”
