Man arrested for hitting vehicle with hatchet

Maryland State Police have arrested a man they say struck a vehicle with a hatchet in what they called a road rage incident. Around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, troopers received several calls that someone had gotten out of his car on the shoulder of the Capital Beltway in Rockville and was hitting another vehicle with a hatchet. The man drove off but was followed by witnesses, who passed the information to police. Troopers said they found a hatchet under the seat of his car. Shaun Tomlinson, 26, of Brookhaven, Pa. was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
