A D.C. police officer is under investigation for allegedly making threatening remarks against first lady Michelle Obama.
According to the Washington Post, the officer, who worked as a motorcycle escort for the White House detail, made the comments Wednesday morning during a discussion about threats against President Obama. The officer reportedly pulled out a phone and showed a photo of a gun that he said he would use to shoot the first lady.

The alleged threats are being investigated by U.S. Secret Service and the D.C. police, according to law enforcement officials. A law enforcement official familiar with the allegations said it appeared the matter will be something that will be handled administratively rather than criminally. D.C. police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said the department “received an allegation that inappropriate comments were made. We are currently investigating the nature of those comments.” She would not say whether the officer has been placed on administrative leave or remains on the White House security detail.
